Jaeseon Ryu, one of those who loves photography. He is interested in the beauty of daily moments. Since high school, he has wandered through mountains with his dog and explored abandoned places in the city alone. Through these experiences, he shaped a documentary perspective that values the familiar around us. These are the kind of moments he captures—a man watching his grandson play in a yard, the gaze of a dog at sunset on a hill, or an old tiny pair of socks in a woman’s closet. These moments come to us from somewhere we don’t expect and make us look back on our lives. Blending philosophical reflection with an instinctive curiosity about death, his work offers a glimpse into the subtle boundary between being and nothingness.
